Women’s Enterprise for Sustainability (WES) joined Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) celebrations in Tunisia to recognize the importance of women entrepreneurs and the potential they have to change local economies and communities.
On November 13, WES held a press conference to announce the launch of the WES training centers. Later that week, WES Partner Organizations hosted events that brought emerging women entrepreneurs, government officials, business leaders, and local organizations together to network and discuss how best to collaborate to support women entrepreneurs in Tunisia.
These events provided an opportunity for WES Partners Organizations to raise the visibility of the WES centers and recruit new participants, mentors, and partners. Following GEW, micro-credit organizations and local businesses expressed interest in partnering with WES to expand opportunities for Tunisian women.
